Opened in 1999, Allson Angkor Hotel offers 193 superior and deluxe rooms showcasing locally made furnishings. In addition to fitness equipment and a sauna, the hotel's health center offers traditional Thai and herbal massages which can be taken pool side, in a VIP room or in the guestrooms.
Set up to showcase traditional Khmer culture, the Lotus Restaurant with its extensive menu and catering services makes the hotel a good venue for conferences and large tour groups. On Saturday and Tuesday evenings it is the stage for a performance of the classical Khmer Apsara dance and traditional music which can be enjoyed over a set menu dinner of Khmer specialties. Special arrangements can be made for cultural shows to be performed during conferences or other events. Guests visiting Siem Reap to explore the Angkor temple ruins should enjoy the Apsara dinner-show where they can discover the history and legends of the Khmer Kingdom through various types of popular and classical dances performed by local artists dressed in ornate, traditional costumes.
