Traveller Comments:
"We had a room at the front of the hotel so a little road noise but they had a split system air conditioner so we just kept the windows closed at night. Would recomend hotel for location, facilities, ambience and value for money."
Mr. Derek S. - Australia on 18/07/2010
"Lovley Khmerstyle Hotel not to big, seated in a beautiful garden with amazing fountains.
Not so good is the numbers of the sunchair a the pool.
The funiture is little battered but in a acceptable range.
At the end I will recomand this Hotel, nice and friendly staff and a real chilling place to be after walk at Ankor Wat and, if needed, a few steps from the "Nightlife" of Siem Reap."
Mr. alexander b. - Germany on 05/04/2010
"we really enjoyed staying in a place with such great local atmosphere and in a very convenient location."
Ms. Jenny H. - Australia on 08/03/2010
"Great hotel, cleanliness was not good; service was perfect however!"
Mrs. Maike M. - Germany on 18/01/2010
"Our flight arrived early and we were able to check-in immediately, which was a real plus. Room service quite clean. BUT room a bit noisy, close to street/restuarant."
Mr. eric c. - United States on 14/12/2009
"An excellent property, a real tropical paradise.Good food and excellent service. The office personal were always accommodating. Very helpful with tours also."
Mr. John F. - Canada on 01/12/2009
"I think this hotel is a very beautiful place. Hope it proves its service of breakfast. I mean I lived there for 4 days and arranged 2 morning to see the sunrise. So I must get up earlier in the morning than the open time of breakfast. I asked the staff if they could give me some food so I can bring it with me, but they said they can only give me some banana and orange, no bread, no any other staple food. So I had to vist your splendid cultural and historial landmarks with my empty stomach hungrily."
Ms. LI X. on 14/10/2009
"The service offered us by ALL staff, from Reception, Restaurant, Domestic & Gardening staff was excellent - helpful, friendly & professional. They obviously care about their guests. We were there when Typhoon Ketsuna hit - and thought we would be a problem to staff beacuse of floods; but no - staff were even more talented in the way they took care of us during the floods. Thank you to all staff at Bopha Angkor Hotel - my daughter & I are so glad to have stayed with you."
Ms. Elizabeth S. - Australia on 12/10/2009
"I liked the outline of the relatively small hotell with low buildings and beautiful garden"
Ms. Carina E. - Sweden on 08/08/2009
"Very clean."
Mr. Joerg T. - Germany on 15/06/2009
"Our room was under the stairs and smelled of damp. The rest of the hotel is great, the pool wonderful and being able to have a drink across the road by the river was delightful."
Mr. Reuben P. - United Kingdom on 06/04/2009
"Absolutely beautiful hotel grounds and rooms. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The food at the restaurant was amazing. Loved it!"
Mrs. Anna K. - Canada on 20/10/2008
"Comfortable hotel very close to the centre of Siem Reap, restaurants and bars, but without the noise and bustle."
Mrs. Mary W. on 13/10/2008
"All of the staff were helpful & friendly and always willing to help with any queries."
Mr. James De S. - United Kingdom on 07/07/2008
"The only criticism I would make was there was nobody at the airport to transfer us to the hotel -I had booked this when I made the reservation with you- so we had to take a taxi."
Mrs. Cynthia E. - United Kingdom on 05/07/2008
"The hotel was located in the old section of Siem Reap, walking distance to the old market. The staff was friendly and helpful. THe hotel had an old charm, and very comfortable. I didn't want to leave! The food was excellent!"
Ms. Kathleen H. - United States on 10/06/2008
"Bopha Angkor is a lovely hotel. Its location is so convinient that only a few minutes walk brings me to the old marked. The staffs are friendly and its Asian atmosphere is fantastic. Also I enjoyed breakfast. Though I am a small eater, I eat all every morning.
The facilities are a bit old but well maintenanced.
I had dicided to stay this hotel, reading other travellers' feedback. I would like to appreciate for their recommendation. If I go to Siem Reap again, I am sure to stay there again."
Ms. Kyoko I. - Japan on 04/10/2007
"The decor in the hotel is supposedly traditional but is a little dark which makes the room a bit gloomy. However, I had a fantastic bathroom!"
Ms. Ana Garcia S. on 27/08/2007
"Staff at the Bopha Angkor Hotel were extremely courteous and helpful and the evening meals we had at the Bopha I think where the best we had in Seam Reap."

"cleanliness of the room could have benn better, especially taking care of dust and small objects unfer the beds and in the bathroom's window.
Not sufficient air circulation in the room (window too small)
Fan is too strong (even at level 1) - we stayed at room 604
Wonderful hotel, beautiful setting with lots of charm. We have already recommended our friends who will arrive to Siem Reap at the end of the month, to stay in Bhopa hotel."

"Great location since it is close to the city (market, pubs) and has a very nice restaurant I can highly recommend (tested some other cheaper ones and would not do it again it's not worth)"
Ms. Silke K. - Singapore on 31/08/2006
"Wonderful place. Soothing, relaxed and beautifully kept. The staff is helpful and charming. Veru good value"
Ms. Angeles L. on 24/07/2006
"A fantastic experience - warm and friendly staff made the stay all that much better!"
Mr. Michael O. - Malaysia on 02/07/2006
"The staff are fine but they have an un-user friendly computer system which is definetly not customer friendly, is very slow and frustrating,"
Mr. Enda M. on 20/06/2006
"We had the most wonderful time staying at the charming Bopha Angkor Hotel. Rooms are clean and nice, the staff helpful and the lush and exotic tropical garden with big pool the best place to relax in between the trips to the temples. The restaurant is excellent value - try it out, even though the meals are more expensive than in town. We can only recommend this hotel!"
Mr. Oliver E. - Germany on 31/05/2006
"We stayed for 4 nights at the Hotel.
Staff were very helpful and courtious.
Rooms were not at all impressive- three beds virtually covered the full room
with hardly any space to move.
There are no supplies of Soap/Shampoo/Bath foam/Shower cap. This is pretty
bad.
There is not one plug point to charge mobile/camera etc. in the room.
Food and service was very good.
They could improve upon the Breakfast- may be a good Buffet- choice was
very very limited."
Mr. Palayanoor V. - India on 20/05/2006
"Bopha is lovely. Excellent service, nice pool, and superb food!"
Mr. Andrew M. - United Kingdom on 02/05/2006
"There was apparently a problem of coordination between the booking agency in Siem reap which confirmed my booking by e-mail and the hotel which had another information. The staff at the reception was not very forthcoming nor helpful at first. It took the personal intervention of the (very professional) Director to solve the matter in a satisfactory way for both parties. I believe that staff has to be trained to take responsability on behalf of the hotel for mistakes which are not the doing of the client and try and take initiatives to find solutions accordingly in a friendly way instead of washing their hands of the problems.
Apart from that, the hotel is very charming, well run and very comfortable. We spend three lovely days ans have already recommended it to some friends of ours.
Yours,
Francis Amar / Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia"
