Jasmine Lodge opened in 2003 after Mr Kunn and Jasmine got married together. Today they run the guesthouse business in a friendly, personal, local, family-way with big broad smiles and a warm welcome to all their guests.This accommodation provider has taken action to address one or more issues (whether environmental, social or cultural) which will contribute positively to the long term viability of the destination and hence their site displays a Caring for the destination rating.

Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
Mr Kunn and his Jasmine staff encourage its guests to see more of Siem Reap than just the temples. A lot of information is available and guided tours to several charitable organisations can be arranged for guests that want to experience more. Donation baskets are also available for guests who end up with too heavy a backpack. Clothes, books and pencils are distributed to schools and villages in and around Siem Reap and guests are welcome to come along on these trips.

"we made our arrangements on our own, mostly before we arrived in cambodia, so we did not need jasmine lodge to make any arrangements. our tuk tuk driver was well informed and helpful too."

"The owners were lovely and very helpful for all our needs. In particular, they helped us out with some lost plane tickets, dealing with the airline on our behalf and then booking additional flights for us at a discount when it didn't work out. They also arranged a tuk tuk driver for us for two days at a fair price. Only 10 minute walk from the main restaurant/bar area. Rooms are great for the price, although I think our air con wasn't working properly, but we didn't end up needing it anyway."

"The only negative comment I would have is that it took a few days for my laundry to be ready .,which may have been the result of heavy rain during the days I stayed at Jasmine Lodge.

"After a late booking online with angkorhotels.org, the owner of the guest house was waiting for me at airport the next day !
Jasmine Lodge in Siem Reap, Cambodia has two buildings (a third one is not finished now) and the welcome and service are excellent. Rooms in Khmer style are very clean. A shady terrace is a relaxing place when hot sun ! And what great mixed fruit shakes !!!

"good location - there are shops and things to do nearby. the exterior was a little messy as they were doing some renovations, but overall the place was clean. we were happy with the condition of our room! it was located in a quiet area also, so we got the peace and quiet we needed without being cut off from the action outside. :)"

"In fact, the hotel is okie. Only the hotel staff let me down as he didn't inform me of the bike renting when it failed. Then, at the arranged time, I came to take electric bike, he said it was not ok and said sorry without any alternatives offsered."

"Good value for money, a cut above the typical "backpacker hostel" very friendly staff and even has a pool table! and good cheap food from a very clean kitchen, cold beer and comfy beds what more could ask for a few bucks a night"

"Accommodation was adequate and staff were at times helpful although at other times appeared fairly disinterested in me. They also did not meet me at the bus station as had been promised when booking online - the primary reason that I had bothered to book ahead - and claimed when I arrived to have no record of my booking. Would probably try to stay closer to to town next time - was only a 15-20 minute walk to the old market however the walk was via the busy airport road and was not particularly pleasant."
