Welcome to Mom's Guesthouse. My name is Leang Chhay (far right), a self-employed manager of Mom's Guesthouse. I was trained to be an English-speaking tour guide in a three-month training course sponsored by the provincial tourism office in Siem Reap. Although I am almost always occupied with my job as a manager, I sometimes work as a tour guide taking my guests to places of interest around the city and I enjoy talking with them very much.My parents also work in the house. My mother (second from right) can speak French and she helps me at the reception desk. My father (not in the above photograph) is an electrician and a plumber. He does all the plumbing and electrical works in the house. Mom's Guesthouse has been in service since 1992 during which time the UNTAC peacekeeping force came to organize the first general elections in Cambodia. We have been doing very well since then thanks to our good service and the confidence the guests have in us. We are committed to providing our guests with a safe and comfortable stay at our house. We employ a guard to work at night to ensure the safety and security of our guests. We (all the people working in the house) consider guests as our livelihood and thus all their constructive comments and feedback about the service at our guesthouse are always listened to.
