My wife and I have been travelling in Cambodia for three weeks now, and of all the hotels we have stayed, the Pavillion Indochine is by far the best. In fact, staying with you was one of the most pleasant hotel experiences we have ever had.
Your staff, without exception, were warm, friendly, and polite--from the front desk, to the restaurant, to the girls who returned our laundry--and such smiles everywhere.
Walking through the Pavillion, enjoying the furnishings, color scheme and pool surround was a constant delight, because of the thoughtful touches everywhere, the flowers, the antiques and the little notes that told the guests how much to pay for taxis, motos and tuk tuks. Your guide service was excellent and made our visit to Angkor Wat such an informative pleasure.
We enjoyed the restaurant-especially the included breakfast, which was quite sumptious--and again enjoyed the special touches like the chubby little yogurt pots and the unexpected selection of teas.
Your rooms were large, comfortable, cool, and quite unique and we took many photographs as mementos. I can only wish that all the hotels in all the world were as attractive and affordably priced. It would make travelling so much easier.

I really enjoyed the good food (great home made jam), the dedicated service and above all the extremely friendly, conversational atmosphere where many traveler's tales were exchanged. Charming restaurant near the pool with cool music to relax.
Thea and Fred have been warm, friendly, welcoming hosts. I couldn't have asked for more. Thea organized everything for me (nice driver and brilliant French speaking guide). I will always remember my talk with Fred, a former war reporter, long time resident, and its stories sending me into the wilds of Cambodia.
This atmosphere, the ancient furniture, colonial style, very comfortable rooms coupled with the quiet, country location meant that it was a perfect retreat after a full-day sightseeing. I stayed in numerous 5-stars hotels over the (too short) duration of my time in Asia, but I enjoyed none more than the Pavillon Indochine.
They will see me back next year as this trip to Angkor was too short... So much to see!

We were there for three days and on the second day our room was not cleaned at all - not very nice to come back from the temples into a dirty room. In addition, plates and glasses from our lunch had not been cleared away from the table outside our room and we had to ask for these to be removed.
Sadly the breakfasts were very poor as well. Cold coffee, yogurt that was sitting out for hours before it was eaten and warm orange juice. Just a little more effort could have made this a much nicer breakfast.
We came away from the Indochine Pavillion thinking what a wonderful building and location it was, but how this was spoilt by the very poor service (particularly from the male staff). We really felt they did not understand the need for good service and a friendly approach and for this reason we would not recommend staying at the hotel until the management and staff have been reviewed."

A better breakfast menu would be the only thing I would want to see change."
