Peace of Angkor Villa
Colleen Allan-Burns and Dave Perkes
We moved to Siem Reap from Southampton, England in May 2003, and opened Peace Of Angkor Villa later that year.We had travelled widely and stayed in places from spartan mountain lodges to 5-Star hotels. We always enjoyed the small, friendly, intimate places most. We aim to have the kind of place we would want to stay in ourselves!
We found a place very quickly, spent several months improving it and learning about our new country. Renaming it Peace Of Angkor Villa to reflect its peaceful location, we opened the doors in October 2003.
Only a year after opening, we outgrew our old home and moved into our current location a little closer to town and just as peaceful. We have been in our new home 2 years in October 2006.
Having higher quality rooms and a large garden, we give our guests a very good standard of accommodation and of course our friendly, family atmosphere. Oh, and bring your camera!
Colleen and Dave.
