"The staff was nice, but the ever-present/hovering owner was very overbearing and kept pressuring us to purchase items from her souvenir shop even though we had not yet settled into our rooms or said that we were not interested. Also, the room was overcrowded with unnecessary furniture, the showerhead is a low-pressure showerhead so showers take forever. The doors are hard to lock and prices for their "complimentary" tuk tuk services are not clearly posted, so we got a surprise charge upon check-out."

"The Shining Angkor is a lovely little hotel in a quiet location. The staff fall over backwards to take care of you. The rooms are spacious. The bed was the most comfortable one we had slept in on our trip through SE Asia. They are immaculately clean and have a nice balcony where we had breakfast one morning. The only drawback is it's not walking distance to the center so the hotel provides tuk tuk service. This was not an inconvenience at all, they were always available to take you anywhere when you wanted and would pick you up anytime as well. Would stay here again in a heartbeat."
