Traveller Comments:
"The only issue I had was that they couldn't take credit card for final payment-- said the machine was broken. Otherwise I was pretty pleased with the hotel and the guide and driver they arranged for me."
Mr. David D. - United States on 14/07/2009
"Nice hotel at a central location but not noisy. Tuk tuk drivers can locate it easily. Clean room, and hotel cleaning service was good. Breakfast could be better!"
Ms. San San L. - Singapore on 08/01/2009
"Our tour had progressed more smoothly, and we had got much preasurable time."

"Nice architecture, good location, pleasant attentive staff."

"A wonderful staff that even went the extra mile by bringing a cake and roses on my birthday! The front desk arranged for an amazing guide for us to see the Wats. The room was cleaned quickly and effeciently. However, we did have some issues with ants in the bathroom. In addition, the hotel is adding an elevator, so there was some construction during the day. However, this did not detract from the overall experience since the staff was friendly and helpful in all aspects. The hotel is charming and in an excellent location by the old market and bar street."
Mr. Byron L. - United States on 01/08/2007
"Firstly, the hotel's free airport shuttle didn't show up. My flight arrived 15 minutes early, and I waited until there was nobody left at the airport. Siem Reap airport is NOT huge or busy. There are hours in between flight arrivals... I paid for the overpriced taxi from the airport. The hotel blamed me for missing the ride, saying there were there waiting for me. Absolutely weren't. Just apologise for your oversight and offer me a free drink in that bar or a dinner discount or something. Don't BLAME me!

This next part if not the hotel's fault, but they could have handled it better.
I was particularly disappointed on arrival because the price displayed on this website next to the room type I selected before entering in my credit card and selecting "Book This Room" was NOT the price the website emailed to the hotel. Luckily it was only 15% more, not double or anything. The fine print on the website said "Low season price". At no point did this website show me the price for the season I am in before I booked. Bad form. Anyway, the hotel manager refused to do anything about it, and offered me a free airport shuttle when I leave. (They are free anyway! And I was leaving by road, not air). after 1 night in a musty smelling room, I told them I am checking out and going to find another hotel. It was only then that the manager matched the price displayed online. I decided to stay the rest of the 4 days, because otherwise the hotel was fine, and in a convenient location, and the room was quiet (until the maintenance started at 7:30am every morning!!!!! Thump Thump Thump through the ceiling)

Finally, the staff were pretty useless. I asked "How do I get to Angkor wat". They said "get a car". They had no way to tell me how, where from etc.. let alone help me get one. So I called the taxi driver who picked me up from the airport, the one who's price changes from his quoted price. Apparently the price of fuel rose sharply during that day, or something... No thanks to the hotel for hooking me up with a reputable car company or anything...."

"This was a wonderful hotel - friendly and helpful staff; beautiful decor; large, clean rooms; quaint, safe, and convenient location right in the heart of town; and very inexpensive cost. If I return to Siem Reap, I will certainly stay here again."
Mr. Joshua M. - United States on 22/11/2005
