Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
Ta Som Guesthouse is a small locally owned and managed guesthouse which actively employs local people, uses locally produced food and sources the majority of its supplies locally. Hence, Ta Som directly supports other local businesses and has a positive knock-on effect on the local community.
For a real shopping experience, guests are welcome to come along to the local markets to buy fresh fruits and vegetables if arranged in advance and guests will also have the opportunity to venture out to see rice paddies, water buffaloes and traditional villages.

"We had a very pleasant stay in this guest house. The room rates are very reasonable. We have internet at the lounge, mini fridge, attached toilet and clean room. Staff are pleasant. I would strongly recommend this place for budget travelers."

"We loved our stay at Ta Som. We were delighted to find the Tuk tuk waiting for us at the airport and when we arrived at the guesthousee we were greeted with a cool drink and a warm welcome. Our room was pleasant, breakfast was more than adequate and all tour services were offered in an efficient and straight forward manner.
