The staff were really helpful, polite and friendly which made up for any of the next things mentioned just so others are prepared. The room (cabana) had an off putting odour with the air con off, lots of mosquittos, nowhere to unpack your clothes and the fridge did not cool. Also, you needed to keep the curtains closed to use the bathroom. We missed being able to make tea and coffee too. However, it was a very pleasant setting. The complimentary tuk tuk was great as although it was not far to walk to the old market the lack of foot paths made it difficult. The pool was fab.

Quiet strategic location, near to town.. but not too worry because hotel do provide free transportation to city. Will surely come again to this hotel whenever I visit Siem Reap.. Superb!!

This VERY budget friendly accommodation has everything you really need with the added benefit of having access to tours, transportation, entertainment, or anything else you may want.

We stayed in the suite which has lots of room, is immaculate and the turn-down service (and hanging the mosquito net) is a nice touch. To come down each morning to the smiles and helpfulness of the students is wonderful. Agir pour le Camboge is doing such a great job to help poor students get an education and learn a marketable skill that helps them and their families. It's such a win-win!
- 20 Jan 2011, Mr David J.All Staff were Brilliant. Just a small Hotel with only 38 rooms, but they think like a Big Hotel. Can assist with everything and always happy to do any time of the day. For this trip I stayed two times 6 nights each time. I will return to Siem Reap next Year (2012) and will stay here again. I give them 10/10.

The place has a family atmosphere and that contributes a great deal to the overall impression. Ta Som is a great value for the money and I would recommend it to anyone.

- 27 Jul 2011, Ms Hong Fong L.The service we received here was excellent-very good English spoken, always friendly, good humoured and happy to do anything to help. The rooms were fine with daily cleanings, there is free use of the computers and printers and a restaurant out front that is good for chilling out and chatting to other guests and staff can help you with pretty much any service you need (including in room massage!). Only small thing was distance from pub street/old Market but we were happy to walk and found really nice restaurants near us anyway. Mini mart on the corner was also very convenient.

(ii) A couple of wall power outlets for cellphone/computer in the bedroom would be useful. (iii)The mosquito curtain seems to be unnecessary and cramps the sleeping space.
