Located just off the main road to the magnificent temple monuments of Angkor, HanumanAlaya is an idyllic boutique residence blending of traditional Khmer design and modern comforts and amenities.
Lovingly finished in wood and elegantly decorated in local antiques and handicrafts, HanumanAlaya Boutique Residence is more of a home rather than a hotel and guests find it a perfect place to unwind after an adventurous day exploring Angkor Wat and the many other temples.
Surrounded by lush gardens, a swimming pool, tropical plants, and a soothing spa, it is an idyllic retreat from the bustle of Siem Reap and, thus, it makes for a stay to be savoured rather than rushed.
This accommodation provider has taken action to address one or more issues (whether environmental, social or cultural) which will contribute positively to the long term viability of the destination and hence their site displays a Caring for the destination rating.
Main area of focus in Caring for the Destination:
HanumanAlaya is a Child-Safe property and has implemented a range of energy and water conservation measures.
Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
The management and staff at HanumanAlaya aim to be eco-friendly and promote water conservation, recycle plastics and aluminum, use ceramic dispensers and CFL light bulbs. HanumanAlaya also have a ‘healthy option’ counter in the in-house restaurant; and take part in local ‘keep the community clean’ programmes.
The management and staff are, however, always looking for more ways to be an eco-friendly residence so please contact the staff directly and let us know if you have any suggestions to improve the environmental credentials.
